The Target

Studio, situated in 15th district of Paris, in the direct proximity of the Eiffel Tower, is a classic exercise in small apartment living. It has a rectangular shape (6x7m) and it is exposed to NE with large bay windows giving into a terrace.

The main challenge was to eliminate all of unnecessary divisions to obtain the daylight penetrating the entrance hall and maximize the functionality of a small space.

We created several activities in the open-plan way, allowing the fluid circulation between them.

The night part of the studio, contributing the bed and dressing area was designed peripherally allowing to create semi-permanent closure, consisting of the polycarbonate, mobile –boards, on which we printed the air view of Paris.

The kitchen area opens into the dining and living space inscribing perfectly in the design code of the rest of the place.

We worked a lot with layering different type of white shades adding to them small touches of character by placing pieces of the old furniture, colorful paintings and soft textiles of the pillows and bed covers.

The final effect is light, fresh and modern, extending the eye and making the flat feel bigger. In the same time we managed to obtain a very intimate and inviting ambience.
